ALIVE 2013

I am excited to announce that we are having our Easter Weekend Services at Saddleback College this year. From what I have been told this will be the first "religious service" held at the College. Normally we have had all our services outdoors. But we have had some unique weather patterns already this year will colder temperatures and rain. The Lord put it on my heart to move our services indoors. We knocked on a few doors in the area, but there was nothing available to hold our services. Then the Lord gave us favor with Saddleback. Its 5 minutes from the church and the gym has a large enough capacity for our gathering.

Good Friday night at 7pm with the Scott Cunningham Band and the School of Worship. A great time of worship and communion.

Saturday Night at 7pm with Brenton Brown for a time of Worship and an evangelistic message.

Sunday Morning at 10am with Brenton Brown and the Calvary Chapel San Juan Capistrano church choir.

Keep an eye out for our bumper stickers that will be on cars driving near you and pray for us that the Lord would do a mighty work in South County this Easter. Thanks Guys! PJ

God meant it for good

But as for you, you meant evil against me;  but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as  it   is  this day, to save many people alive.
Genesis 50:20

From the natural perspective Joseph's life could have been characterized as an initial tragedy. He had hopes and dreams of doing great things. Joseph had so much potential. Then when his life was just getting started, he was sold as a slave into Egypt by his own family because of their jealousy. Now living in a foreign land, he was framed by his owners wicked wife. The lies she told concerning Joseph got him thrown into prison. While in prison he cared for two prisoners who had served the Pharaoh. He interpreted their dreams. He begged to be remembered and released from his cell for he was innocent. Yet Joseph was again forgotten. It seemed like his life would end in that forgotten prison. However what his brothers meant for evil, God would use for good. What his former masters wife meant for evil, God would use for good.  Every situation that was painful and confusing at the time, eventually became clear. For when Joseph was released and then promoted to the second most powerful ruler in Egypt he looked back on his sorrow and saw the sovereign hand of God at work.

Only God can turn a curse into a blessing. Only God can take the painful circumstances of life and use it for His glory. And only God can help us to see that He was at work all along the way.

The Presence of The Lord

And He said, Certainly I will be with thee Exodus 3:12

The promise from The Lord was the assurance that Moses needed. He had to be certain that The Lord would be with Him. Standing up to Pharaoh on his own would have been disastrous and fruitless. Yet with The Lords presence Moses was able to deliver an entire nation from bondage. If God be for us who can be against us. The Bible says through The Lord we will do valiantly. Our resources are limited, but the Lords are eternal. Rest today knowing that The Lord goes before you, behind you, all around you.

Lord I thank You for the promise today that You go with me. Let me walk with the awareness that You are here.
