In Total Shock

Gal 1:6-7 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.

The Apostle Paul presented the gospel and the Galatians turned to Christ for salvation. Yet now Paul expresses his utter astonishment at their turning away from the gospel. It is as if he was in complete shock.  The Galatians were now in danger of forfeiting their inestimable blessings found in the gospel of grace. They were not turning away from Paul; they were turning away from JESUS.
When Paul said they were turning away to a different gospel, he meant they were turning to a gospel that is not only false in its doctrine, but also false in its character. It wasn’t only a different kind of gospel, it wasn’t a gospel at all.
It only assumed the name gospel, but it was completely emptied from any power to save. Therefore it was NOT only DIFFERENT but DEADLY.

There are many people today who are turning to a false gospel message that cannot save.
The Bible declares all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Jesus came and died upon a cross to pay the penalty that our sin demanded. Jesus then rose from the dead conquering sin and death. And if a person will trust in the finished work of Christ for salvation, surrendering their will to His, they will have the forgiveness of sins, the hope of heaven, and the power of the Holy Spirit to live the Christian life. Whoever calls upon the name of The Lord shall be saved. To reject the gospel will result in separation from God for eternity in a place called hell. This is why Jesus came and died, so we would never experience separation. Jesus was forsaken so you would never have to be forsaken. He took the wrath and judgment that we deserved. Trust Christ today.
