Gal 1:3 Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ,
When you read through the epistles of Paul you discover that this became a standard greeting in his letters. The Pauline greeting included GRACE AND PEACE These two were ALWAYS coupled together and placed in this order.
I believe the order is significant. For it is not until you have responded to the grace of God that you can experience the true peace of God.
What is Grace? It is Gods unmerited favor. Someone defined it in the following way…. Gods.. Riches.. At… Christ’s…Expense.
What is Peace? : The profound well-being of the soul which is the result of experiencing the grace of God.
We are granted this grace of God not because of what we have done, but because of what Jesus has done. Today you can be at peace WITH God, and also experience the peace OF God in your life.
Jesus said, “John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
